Paralegals are only authorized to provide immigration legal services that relate directly to advocacy before the Immigration and Refugee Board.
Paralegals are also eligible to perform certain services in immigration law. Licensed paralegals can appear before the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) to represent client(s) in an IRB hearing. Legal services for matters relating to an IRB hearing can also be provided by licensed paralegal
- Represent you at a refugee hearing, admissibility hearing, or appeal at the Immigration and Refugee Board
- Fill out application forms and help you put together information and evidence to provide to Immigration
